The flight plan for the Beyond Half Marathon Training Program will be coming soon! The 2020 Training Schedules feature courses from the 2019 session, with a couple changes: we are joining forces with Cereal City Athletics on Week 12, and running part of the BC Half Marathon Course. Another addition for 2020: one of our runs will start from Trinity Lutheran Church.  Most flights will leave from the Battle Creek Family YMCA, unless otherwise noted. View the program overview “snapshot” schedules and the weekly training schedules for each of the different training programs.  Our training programs follow that of the country’s leading coaches.

LOW INTENSITY SCHEDULE
Designed for newer runners who are looking to complete their first or second half marathon.
Beyond 2019 Low Intensity Half Marathon Training Schedule

MODERATE INTENSITY SCHEDULE
Designed for runners who are looking to improve their performance, who have already completed 2 or more half marathons.
Beyond 2019 Moderate Intensity Half Marathon Training Schedule

HIGH INTENSITY SCHEDULE
Designed for runners who are looking to maximize their performance, who have completed multiple half marathons and are focused on achieving a personal record.

Have a friend who isn’t quite ready to join the half marathon? Not to worry. The target race, the Battle Creek Half Marathon and 5K, also features an awesome new-runner-friendly 5K! Refer them over to the KAR in BC Spring 2019 Fast Track Training Program, at bckarfasttrack.wordpress.com for a great 5K coach-assisted training program! Group training runs for the 5K program are Tuesday evenings, usually from Riverside Park, unless otherwise noted.
